I cannot post the original messages but 1 year ago this week the girl I would be posting about as ‘D’ first emailed me. Where to start. First off thank you for being so direct, I really appreciate when people know what they want and are not afraid to put themselves out there. To be honest, I have little patience for the strict adherence to that. It makes since when making a general statement but strict adherence to it has always annoyed me (do a search for my friend lumpesse on fetlife for humorous posts on the topic). My grammar is bad enough without needing to worry about pronoun punctuation :) However, it is worth mentioning as many people follow that construct. As for me, a simple ‘Sir’ goes a long way to making me happy. Other than that, in general, it is welcomed to reach out and express interest in potential Masters.

As for looking for a Master, again, I am open to that but would like to cross that bridge after we get to know each other a bit more.

You had also mentioned your husband. It is great that he would be open to ‘topping’ you but I completely understand your hesitation. While I do occasionally date my submissives it is a very different dynamic that a ‘vanilla’ relationship; even a vanilla relationship that involves casual play. To submit oneself fully to a Master can be an awesome thing but it is a much different dynamic from the partnership of a marriage. We can talk about that later but I am glad you recognize and have considered the differences.
